AUSTIN, Texas – In another high-profile Primary election with record-breaking voter turnout, voters across Pennsylvania cast their ballots using Austin-based Hart InterCivic’s eScan and eSlate equipment on Tuesday, April 22nd.

“With over 1.5 million registered voters being served by Hart equipment in the State of Pennsylvania, I am proud to say that the eScan paper-based digital scanner and the eSlate electronic voting system provided voters with secure, accurate, and accessible voting solutions,” said Phillip Braithwaite, Hart’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Election Solutions, “With the Hart system in place, Election Night is about the results.”

Hart InterCivic provides Pennsylvania counties with eScan in-precinct digital paper ballot scanners and eSlate electronic voting equipment. By-mail ballots are scanned centrally on Hart’s Ballot Now digital scanning equipment.

This was the first use of over 100 eScan voting devices in Fayette County. Director of Elections, Laurie Lint, reported, “Hart’s training was wonderful. The eScans ran smoothly and the voters liked the equipment. Returns came in quickly and we’re all very happy.”
